Random non- DOS related question. I just found out that at my old school, the health class teaches that "sexual maturity is accepting your masculinity or femininity." My mom is teaching the class this year, and she's an awesome ally so she skipped that part, but is there a way to get that removed from the curriculum? I can only imagine how detrimental that would be to someone who was questioning their gender identity.
Lots of my family is gay and it kills me inside when I hear one of my "friends" call my family a fag or say they don't belong here I wish there was more I can do except listen to them I wish we could do another thing like the day of silence that helped tons in my school... please help!
