World Net Daily Columnist Compares GLSEN, Day of Silence to 'Hitler Youth'

Sadly, this is not an April Fool's joke, but it is one of those things you have to see to believe.

A columnist for World Net Daily compared GLSEN, the Day of Silence and GSAs to Hitler Youth. All because we believe that every student has a right to be safe in school and get an education free of bullying and harassment.

Original article.

I read that and immediately wrote Ms. Reisman an e-mail. She has upset me beyond all belief. How can people be so ignorant? It infuriates me.

Here's my response to the Worldnet screed:

Yes, you're right. After nearly half a century of life and more that 40 years of personal excellence in education, my sincere and thoughtful dedication to GLBT equity in education is nothing but the gibbering effect of brainwashing.

I graduated near the top of my high school class, scored at the top nationally on my SATs and ACTs, graduated magna cum laude from a fine Jesuit university and earned my Master's from one of oldest traditional liberal arts college in the nation. I have taught for 26 years.

But I am a member of the National Education Association, I sponsor my school's GSA and I work for safe schools for all youth. Therefore, I must be incapable of thinking for myself. Having had my brain sucked out by the gays, I am in fact nothing but an automaton parroting the talking points of the Glittler Youth movement.

I understand why Judith Reisman must believe this about me, because for my part I simply cannot understand how a thoughtful, self-actuated human being could be capable of writing what she wrote. The only possible explanation is that she's a Pod Person.
