If you signed up for the Day of Silence then you're expecting materials from GLSEN. Today we sent out another big batch of stickers and flyers and more. It was all coordinated by our Student Organizing Department, including Shiera Chandler and Lane Levine!

What come's in the packets we should be expecting?
I was surprised and delighted to get my things in the mail from GLSEN this week! Especially since I hadn't even ordered anything - but it was a great surprise and we're definitely going to utilize all the materials. Thank you!
ABKER - 'Glad you got your mailing!
For ANONYMOUS's question: People who signed-up at least 4 weeks before the Day of Silence will receive a packet with a poster, speaking cards, and stickers. Yesterday alone we stuffed and sent out 1,000 packages.
This year’s National Day of Silence is breaking records for the number of students signing up. This has created a good news / not so good news situation for us. The big response has put a strain on the quantity of packets we are able to send. This is the first time we have had to limit distributing products so early. Usually we can get materials out for everyone who signed up within 2 weeks of the DOS.
Even so there are plenty of resources on our website available for download. You can find links to Speaking Card and Sticker templates HERE.
You can also purchase products like buttons, t-shirts and wristbands at the GLSEN Store. Just make sure select the correct shipping options: Friday 4/18 for regular mail, and Tuesday 4/22 for safest overnight delivery for DOS on 4/25.
Remember, it’s all the students and allies working to increase awareness about the DOS this year that will make the event an even bigger success.
Those are some very charming pictures of GLSEN staff!
I'm so glad that I received the materials early this year! In MA, we have school vacation on the national day, so we hold ours on other days. The posters got us a lot of attention- thank you.
And I'm liking the blog.
